David Moles

When I first came to Berkeley for graduate school, lo these many years ago, someone told me that my moods would start to fluctuate around the exam schedule even if I wasn't taking any classes, wasn't involved in teaching.

Not true for Harvard? I knew that whole "reading week" thing was another unfair Ivy League advantage....

It's hard for me to apply this standard to Harvard, though. When I was an undergraduate, after all, my moods were -so- tied to the exam schedule that it just seemed obvious. When I was working there, I was in an academic support job, so my schedule actually did have very clearly-defined crazy periods that corresponded to semester cycles, so again, I don't know that I'd have noticed this effect.
